Review + Release: Nike Women’s VaporMax Beige
As part of a special pack for women, Nike launched the Nike Air Women’s VaporMax Flyknit 3 Beige in mid-April.
Other members of this pack are the Air Max 720 and the VaporMax 2019. All three are available in the colors Pink Rise and Laser Fuchsia.
The Air Women’s VaporMax Flyknit 3 Beige is the subject of this Review + Release.
The so-called Air Max evolution has been going on for over thirty years. This started in 1987 when the Nike Air Max 1 debuted with the first visible Air unit.
Since then, a lot has happened in this “Aira”. The design, and especially the sole, of the Nike Air VaporMax is an important part of this history.
Start of a new Air-era
The Air VaporMax symbolized the start of a new era for Nike in 2017. The design process behind this innovative sneaker changed the way Nike will design its Air-products forever.
While the aim of the previous Air Max models was to put as much Air into the sole as possible, the focus with VaporMax is on the efficient use of air in the sole. In combination with the innovative design of the sole, this philosophy provides extra resilience with every step.
A few nice figures: the sole is made up of more than 39,000 parts and there were no fewer than seven years between the completion of the design of the Nike Air VaporMax and the actual launch of the shoe.
Beige upper provides balance
The Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit 3 in Beige was launched in mid-April. With its bright pink sole, it is a very striking sneaker. The beige upper provides some balance to the overall picture.
The Flyknit construction of this Nike Women’s VaporMax provides ventilation and comfort, while the Flywire technology optimizes the fit and keeps your foot in place. This Nike technology consists of light, strong cables that wrap around your foot.
Review Nike Air Women’s VaporMax Flyknit 3 Beige
The VaporMax still has to prove itself. It is not a sneaker that you currently see a lot on the street or in the gym.
There is also (still) no hype going on around the VaporMax models. But as with many things in life: what isn’t there yet, could still come.
With a bright pink sole that is made up of more than 39,000 parts, it’s hard to get around this sneaker. So, a lot of appearance.
The beige upper provides an aesthetic balance.
Every little part of this Nike Women’s VaporMax has been well thought out. The result can certainly be guaranteed in terms of sustainability.
Nevertheless, the Flyknit construction remains a point of contention in terms of sustainability. This construction makes the upper vulnerable to damage and the beige color also makes it extra sensitive to stains.
We can be very brief about this: This Nike Air VaporMax for Women is totally unsuitable for the office.
Causes? The shape and color of the VaporMax sole.
